Why D8 Super Store is Dropping Flying Monkey

D8 Super Store has been growing exponentially in the recreational hemp industry, offering the some of the best prices, biggest selections, and highest-quality products. Recently, they officially decided to drop Flying Monkey despite Flying Monkey being their second most profitable brand. This decision by D8 Super Store reminds us why we decided to partner with them and shows us that it is imperative that we do our part in keeping this industry safe and educated if we want to continue enjoying the benefits of delta 8 THC and other hemp-derived cannabinoids.

Why?

You’re probably wondering why D8 Super Store decided to stop selling Flying Monkey if it’s their second most profitable brand, and at first, we asked the same question. However, during an interview with B. Dwyer, their head of public relations, they discussed how brands selling misleading or dangerous products can create an extremely unsafe environment for the consumer as well as be detrimental to the hemp industry we all know and love.

After receiving countless complaints from their customers, D8SS decided that the monetary value gained from selling Flying Monkey products was not worth harming their customers or flooding the market with impure products. They disclosed that customers mentioned a “burnt chemical aftertaste” and “batteries leaking from the bottom.” Furthermore, they explained how these problems go against their company’s philosophy of offering the highest quality products the hemp industry has to offer. With their brand vision being educating their customers and putting them first, they described their decision to drop Flying Monkey as “easy, ethical, and logical.”

“No amount of money can justify us putting anyone in jeopardy,” noted Mr. Dwyer.

What Now?

When asked about what the next move for D8 Super Store moving forward is, Mr. Dwyer explained that they have held several meetings outlining their new standards for choosing brands for their store.

“Going forward, we’re only going to carry brands that meet all of our criteria. We’ve hired more product testers to ensure that each product is up to our standards, and we’re doing more lab testing, so we know we’re only selling the best,” says Dwyer.
